It's finally winter in Michigan!

It snowed like mad last night and no one is more excited about it than Alaska.

The small things

So today was an amazing day. For 2 reasons: 1) I got to talk to Scott. Just like everyday, but it always makes everything so much better. 2) I finally have a real bed! A full-size pillowtop bed that is so crazy comfortable! For the past... 8 or 9 months I've been sleeping on a futon and it's been killing me. I actually want to go to bed earlier than I normally do just so I can start the amazing night of sleep I know I'm going to get. Pretty bad when getting a new bed is one of the few highlights of the past month or so. Oh well, I'm happy. :D

Tomorrow I'm going to start working on the 2nd half of Scott's Valentine's Day present, since I got the flag and hat I asked him to mail me. Not to mention my V-day present from him! Which, btw, blows mine clear out of the water! He printed out every letter and email we have exchanged (you know, all the lovey-dovey ones) and made an entire scrapbook with pictures from my visit in Okinawa and everything. It's absolutely perfect! I'm going to be flipping through it and reading it constantly. And of course, I can't help but cry when I do.

I love that boy so damn much!

Now, I'm just sitting around waiting for May. I have a list of To-Dos to keep me busy over the next couple of days. Which will help keep my mind from missing my baby girl. Wed/Thursday's can never come fast enough.

Oh, and I'll be posting a lot more artwork and photography soon. So keep an eye out.

Trying to get this going

New to blogger, not new to blogging. I had one for over 2 years at one time. But, I guess when life gets too "real", I just don't want to write about it anymore. This time around, it's going to be different. This time though... where do I start? A little about myself? Here goes nothing.

Currently, my life is a big, crazy. Between chasing a 2 year old around, constantly looking for a job, playing Airman once a month, and living with a long-distance relationship being strengthened through Skype - I honestly can say I wouldn't change it for the world. Of course there are small things I would change, but over all, I can't ask for more.

I have a lot planned for this space but I know it will take some time to get my ideas in order. Bear with me through the construction and maybe this will be a blog worth keeping.
