Thank you, Air Force!

Well, there has been a change of plans. Thanks to the ridiculous inner-workings of the AF. Deployment - CANCELED. Which, in the end, turned out for the best. Except that he won't be coming home as soon as we expected and the countdown as been put back into the numbers I dread.

But, we're moving forward and still looking forward to him coming home. And this time, hopefully, for more than 2 weeks.

Crossing our fingers.

Operation Love Reunited

After quite a few emails and searches, I finally found a photographer in my area that works with Operation Love Reunited. Meaning: we get professional Homecoming photos!

I'm so excited I'm besides myself. The first photographer I emailed, sadly, was unavailable for our date, but I'm keeping her in my mind for a family Op Love session so we can have photos of the two of us with Bug. She was very sweet and referred me to two other photographers. I emailed the first, thinking it was a shot in the dark - not 5 minutes later I had a reply. She was available and so excited to do a Homecoming shoot for us!

Words just can't explain. That someone would take time out their day, to do something like this, free of charge... is beyond me. Everyone always says, "I just don't know how you do it!" "It must be so hard1". It is hard and sometimes I don't know how I even do it, but it's so worth it. He is so worth it.

Today has been a productive and good day. And I can't ask for much more.

Let's keep the good news coming

We're only on the 6th day of April and it's already been a rough month. Oy!

But, the good news is coming, albeit slowly. Scott is starting his out processing for this upcoming deployment, meaning his leave will get approved soon (cross your fingers!) and he'll be here soon after. Like always, my patience is being tested - or I have none. Either way, April needs to be OVER!

In the meantime, I'm trying to figure out everything I have to do before he gets here, been having some awesome days with Bug (she's getting so big so fast!) and attempting to keep myself busy.

One way I've been keeping myself busy is by starting this: http://katiemariephoto.blogspot.com/. It's just as much under construction as this place is, but two projects is better than one. I hope.

I have pictures to post from Easter, but I'll have to get to them later. Oddly, even though I won't have any contact with Scott for the next 8-12 hours, I'm feeling really good and taking some time to just relax and try not to think or worry about anything.

Wish me luck.
